“Black rain” fell in the Moscow region. Ministry of Ecology of Russia: the situation is normal

The telegram channel “Caution, Moscow” reports that in the Zheleznodorozhny microdistrict of Balashikha near Moscow, after the rain, residents noticed traces on window sills, cars and other surfaces that looked like oil products or fumes.

The Russian Ministry of Ecology claims that there was no “oil rain” in the Moscow region. “In Balashikha, people noticed the settling of combustion products in the form of soot, the same as that formed in a stove or fire,” the department said in a statement.

According to the official version, employees of air monitoring posts in Kotelniki, Reutov, Lyubertsy and Balashikha did not record any excess of the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in the air.

However, citizens were advised not to leave the premises unless absolutely necessary, use masks when outside and keep the windows tightly closed.

Let us remind you: on the night of June 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a large-scale attack on Moscow and the Moscow region. The main target was the oil refinery in Kapotnya – this was the second attack in several days. A key enterprise in the Russian capital’s fuel infrastructure suffered significant damage.
