Medvedev: The Hague Conventions on the Laws and Customs of War are “no longer needed”

Against the backdrop of increasing attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian cities, there are no more rules for the Russian military and there cannot be any more, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

“Given the massive terrorist attacks of the enemy on our cities, the intensity of which is increasing and, obviously, will increase, it is time to openly declare that there are no more and cannot be any rules regarding neo-Nazi Kyiv,” he wrote in Max.

According to Medvedev, only “deliberate, that is, deliberately intentional, destruction of civilians” should remain “beyond the acceptable” for Russia. The former Russian president also said that the Hague Conventions on the Laws and Customs of War are “no longer needed.”

On the night of June 18, UAF drones carried out the most massive attack on Russian cities since the beginning of the war. The Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of almost a thousand drones per day. Moscow also came under attack, where there was a fire at the Kapotnya oil refinery, Meduza recalls.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, two days later, still has not commented on the Ukrainian attack and the situation in Moscow.
