Sources: Israel and Lebanon will soon announce a framework agreement

There are no clear deadlines for implementing the agreement; it defines two zones from which the IDF will withdraw and the Lebanese Army will enter in its place—one north of the Litani River and the other south of it. In addition, the framework agreement will include mutual recognition of the sovereignty of both countries.

At the same time, the IDF will remain on the yellow line and will not retreat from Beaufort. It follows from the context of the agreement that, despite progress in the negotiations, the situation does not yet allow the civilian population of border settlements, both from the Lebanese and Israeli sides, to safely return to their homes.
