More than four months have passed since Khamenei was killed along with several of his associates and family members on the very first day of the US-Israeli war against Iran.

According to local mass media, the body of the leader who ruled Iran for more than 30 years was moved to the main place of worship in Tehran, the Great Mosalla, in the morning.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Iran to pay tribute to the memory of Khamenei. The presidents of Georgia and Azerbaijan, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev, will also be in Tehran.

According to the official IRNA agency, the number of ordinary participants in the funeral may reach 35 million.

His daughter, granddaughter, daughter-in-law and son-in-law were killed along with Khamenei.

On July 1, the funeral ceremony of his daughter-in-law, the wife of the current spiritual leader Mojtaba Khamenei, took place, but her husband did not participate in it.

It is not known whether Mojtaba Khamenei, who replaced his father as the de facto leader of Iran, who has not been seen in public since taking office, will participate in the public events of his father’s memory.
