Rainier warns of queues at fields in Europe this summer

The Ryanair airline warns passengers and families flying to and from Europe this summer against long queues at passport control, and calls on European governments to postpone the activation of the new EU entry and exit system until September. In some cases, planes had to delay takeoff while waiting for passengers, and the queues at peak times reach up to five hours. Rainier claims that the tests in the framework EES may include passport scanning, fingerprinting and facial photography, and that the current infrastructure is “not ready” to handle the expected number of passengers in the peak season due to a lack of manpower and positions.
