Ukraine’s armed forces attacked oil and military facilities near St. Petersburg, Russia, during the night, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced today.
“Ukraine’s defense forces hit the port’s oil infrastructure, which provides revenue for financing Russia’s military operations, and also hit Kronstadt, an important military target located more than 850 km from Ukraine’s state border,” the Ukrainian president said.
The day before yesterday, Russia struck a gas production facility in the Poltava region of Ukraine with a drone, as a result of which a fire broke out, Ukrainian “Naftogaz” reported.
Yesterday, at least four people, including a child, were killed and 27 people were injured in a Russian strike in the center of the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy, local authorities said.
