Inside a refrigerated truck carrying a pig? The storm from Khamenei’s funeral

The funeral procession of Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the opening blow of the “Roar of Harry”, ended in the city of Mashhad after long days in which millions of regime supporters took to the streets. Among all the photos and videos published from the huge event, one document caused a particularly unusual uproar.

In a document circulated on social media from the Iraqi city of Karbala, Khamenei’s coffin can be seen being taken out of the refrigerated truck, with prominent signs of the letter ‘K’ in orange. According to reports in various media in Finland, and also in “Iran International”, a channel associated with the opposition in the country, the truck belongs to the Finnish retail chain K Group, which has more than 1,000 branches, under different names, throughout the European country, with the symbol emblazoned at the entrance to the branches being the letter K.

From a check we made on the company’s website, it appears that the supermarket chain also sells pork products, among other things, which raises the question of whether Khamenei’s body was transported in a truck, which in the past also transported pork, which is considered an absolute prohibition in the religion of Islam.

The Kesko company, which owns the brand, announced that they had opened an investigation. According to the company, it was exposed to the documentation only after it was published, and that it has no direct connection to the truck and does not keep it in its fleet of trucks. The company also explained that according to the assessments carried out, one of the external transport companies sold the truck without removing the brand sticker, even though the contract between them requires this before the sale.

At the same time, Finland also reported that shortly before the funeral, an ad was published in an Iraqi Facebook group for the sale of a truck that looks identical to the one recorded in Karbala. According to the report, the truck’s type, branding and equipment match those seen in the documents circulating on social media.

According to reports in the Reuters news agency, the truck was only used during the funeral ceremony in the city of Karbala, one of the stops on the funeral journey in Iraq. Later, additional documents were seen in which the coffin was transported on top of an open vehicle during a riot in the streets.
