US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued statements honoring the memory of South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who died on July 11.
“Sarah and I mourn with the American people. We have lost a dear friend. He understood that the security of the United States and Israel are inseparable, and dedicated his life to protecting America, strengthening our alliance and the free world. We have lost one of our best friends, and the United States a true patriot,” Netanyahu said.
“I have lost a close friend. Our hearts are with the Lindsay family and the American people at this difficult time. May his values and his initiatives continue to lead us to victory and peace. May his memory be blessed,” the head of government added.
“Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the greatest men and senators I have ever known, is dead! He worked hard and was a true American patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed. Farewell information will be announced at a future date. What a shame,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.
