A blogger has been arrested in Britain for threatening to kill the leader of the right-wing party Reform UK, Nigel Farage.

On May 8, the detainee wrote on his blog: “If you win, I will shoot you in the head.” The author of this message called himself a terrorist. According to The Sun, the police began an investigation after a request from representatives of the British Parliament.

British media reported that the man was detained on Tuesday, and after questioning he was released on bail pending an investigation.

Farage said this was the first time police had responded to a threat made against him on social media. According to him, since the beginning of the year he has received hundreds of similar messages.
