Dozens of Israeli settlers have ended up attacking a home of a Palestinian family in the West Bank town of Qusra that they had been besieging for weeks, as confirmed by the Israeli Army.
The settlers have been surrounding three Palestinian homes in this West Bank town for 21 days in a new episode of the intensification of their assaults against the Palestinian population in the occupied territory. Israeli forces have cordoned off the area but have not acted to disperse the settlers.
Among those affected is, for example, Loui Ridi, a Palestinian-American living in Ohio who decided to return to Qusra after learning of the beginning of the siege.
Finally, this Saturday, the settlers ended up “entrenching themselves in the house” with the Palestinian family inside and “they threw stones at the Palestinian civilian population,” explained the Army, which was forced to intervene to expel the invaders.
The Army, finally, has seized the vehicles used by the settlers, which have been delivered as evidence to the Police so that an investigation can begin, the statement added.
Palestinian media report eight injuries of varying severity after a stone-throwing confrontation against the settlers. Some of the injured have been evacuated by the Palestinian Red Crescent to receive medical treatment.
