The Alba Berlin basketball players have won their first public test match of the pre-season. Coach Pedro Calles’ team beat Bundesliga rivals Veolia Towers Hamburg 89:83 (55:43) in the Sömmeringhalle. Last season, Alba lost both league games against the Hanseatic League.
The best Berlin throwers were the 17-year-old young player Fin Borczanowski with 14, as well as newcomers Joe Wieskamp and Sam Griesel with eleven points each. Alba had to do without Martin Hermannsson (Iceland) and Malte Delow (Germany), who are with their national teams.
