Scandal in the USA: a Muslim organization recommended that schoolchildren read Osama bin Laden

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim advocacy and philanthropic organization in the United States, has found itself at the center of a public scandal following the publication of its Back-to-School Guide. The guide, removed shortly after publication, recommended that students read the works of Osama bin Laden. According to The New York Post, families of the victims described the educational materials as “malicious propaganda.”

The annual manual contained a reference to the “Curriculum for Islamic Studies.” The materials claimed that the 2001 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans were carried out not by Islamic terrorists, but by “a group identifying itself as al-Qaeda from Afghanistan.” Moreover, the document stated that the largest terrorist attack in US history was a reaction to American “support for Israel”, intervention in the Gulf War and a large military presence in the Middle East.

A particularly outrageous part of the manual was its recommendation that schoolchildren read terrorist leader Bin Laden’s manifesto, “Letter to America,” which, among other things, asserted that Jews “control the politics, the media and the economy” of the United States.

Along the way, the leadership explained how to talk to children about the “genocide” in Gaza, while completely ignoring the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023.
