Oil refinery attacked in Saudi Arabia

There are reports from Saudi Arabia of an attack on the Aramco oil refinery in Jizan, in the south of the kingdom. This led to the suspension of work at the fuel industry enterprise.

The damage is being assessed, but one of the sources said it is comparable to that caused a month ago by a drone attack launched by Yemen’s Houthis.

The Jizan refinery is one of the most powerful in Saudi Arabia and is closest to the border with Yemen. Its capacity is 400,000 barrels per day, and its products include gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel and other refined petroleum products.
