Today in Yerevan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received US Deputy Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Riley Barnes.
According to the official information of Yerevan, the diplomats discussed issues of the Armenia-US comprehensive strategic partnership agenda.
“Ararat Mirzoyan and Riley Barnes discussed the regional developments and the programs implemented for the development of economic interdependence in conditions of established peace. Thoughts were exchanged on possible steps towards further strengthening of peace. Reference was made to issues of a humanitarian nature,” the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported without further details.
According to the report, Mirzoyan and Barnes exchanged ideas on strengthening democracy and the rule of law, as well as promoting ties between the societies of the two countries based on cultural commonalities.
