Trump posts video of man being mauled by tiger, then posts parody with AI

American President Donald Trump shared the video on his Truth Social in which 23-year-old William Chapmanwho ”suffered from a serious mental illness”, was being mauled by a Siberian tiger in his enclosure at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, northern England. ”Never mess with nature” wrote Trump, who then has shared a clip, created with artificial intelligence, in which the tycoon is seen facing a tiger and then hugging itsmiling.

”The deeply offensive content is causing serious distress,” Chapman’s family saidsaying they were “completely devastated” by his death. The family then asked them to stop sharing such content, explaining that it was causing “serious suffering at a time of exceptional vulnerability”. He was a “bright, affable and pleasant young man”, the family said, and was “much loved”. “Unfortunately, William suffered from a serious mental illness for several years and was consequently prescribed powerful medications,” he added, saying that ”the coroner will determine what role this played in his death. We ask everyone to have respect“.
