Nurse murdered in Münsterland

Johanna’s killer caught in Spain!

Warendorf (NRW) – you have him!

The man (30) who is said to have raped and murdered nurse Johanna K. (21) in Warendorf (Münsterland) last Wednesday has been arrested. The access by a target search unit took place on Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. on the motorway just outside of Madrid, the police and prosecutors said.

The suspect from Ennigerloh, an ex-colleague of the victim, was wanted across Europe.

Chief Public Prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt: “The accused allowed himself to be arrested by the Spanish authorities without resistance. We will now request the extradition of the 30-year-old man.”

The man had worked in the same clinic in Telgte as Johanna. He as a nurse, she as a nurse. He is said to have ambushed her at her door at around 5:30 a.m. last Wednesday as she was about to leave for work.

The former colleague pushed her back into her apartment with a knife, abused her and “then killed her with physical violence against her neck,” the investigators said.

After the cruel act, the killer is said to have withdrawn money with Johanna’s EC card. The police later located her mobile phone on a quarry lake 20 kilometers from her apartment, where she also found other items belonging to the victim. Perhaps the perpetrator wanted to make evidence disappear here.

By securing evidence, the investigators tracked down the 30-year-old as a suspect. A judge issued an arrest warrant for murder, and the man was wanted across Europe. Now with success!
