A French railway agent died on Sunday after tasting an unknown, suspicious liquid. BFMTV and RTL write that. Some passengers had called the officers to Saint-Étienne station in the late afternoon when they found a bag of cans. It contained a suspicious liquid.

One of the officers decided to taste the liquid and took a large gulp. Another colleague sipped from the cans. Fifteen minutes later, the first officer began to have nausea and convulsions.

The emergency services arrived at the scene and later had to resuscitate him, but that was no longer possible. His colleague did not appear to be experiencing any problems, but was nevertheless taken to hospital as a precaution.
