Israeli dies in France while climbing Mont Blanc

A 55-year-old Israeli climber died in France while climbing Mont Blanc. He was taken by a rescue helicopter to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Yishai Hofman, head of the Israeli mission to the UN in Geneva, received a message about the death of an Israeli in France, and is in touch with the relatives of the deceased. The Israeli ambassador in Paris helps the family organize the delivery of the body to Israel.

According to the Mako website, Stas Davydov, a resident of Ariel, died. Stas worked as the head of the department of nature protection in the mayor’s office of Ariel.

His body is expected to be delivered to Israel on Thursday, August 10.
