Russian troops on the border with Ukraine are moving to “offensive positions”

The American news service CBS reports, citing sources in the Pentagon, that some of the Russian artillery and rocket installations have moved from their previous positions to the so-called “offensive positions” and are ready for action.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken officially announced that, “due to the massive increase in Russian troops,” the remaining employees of the US embassy in Kiev are being evacuated to Lvov, and the embassy itself is temporarily closed.

At the same time, a Pentagon spokesman said that the Kremlin, most likely, did not make a final decision on the attack on Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said that they do not intend to introduce martial law yet.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier addressed the Ukrainians, saying that, according to the United States, Russia could attack Ukraine on February 16. In this regard, Zelensky declared February 16 the Day of Unity. On this day, it is necessary to raise the State Flag of Ukraine on houses and structures in all settlements, and at 10:00 it is necessary to perform the National Anthem of Ukraine.

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky told NEWSru.co.il that the Israeli embassy in Kiev is working as usual and has not received evacuation orders.
