Ukrainian hackers hacked the database of the Russian air ticket reservation system

Ukrainian hackers hacked the database of the Russian air ticket reservation system Sirena-Travel. They gained access to data on 3.4 billion phone numbers and 664 million flights, the BBC reports, citing Ukrainian sources.

The Ukrainian project KibOrg reported a hacking of the database of the Russian company Sirena-Travel, organized by the Muppets group.

Sirena-Travel develops systems for booking and selling air tickets. Muppets gained access to two databases in which, according to hackers, more than 3.4 billion records of phone numbers are stored, as well as 664.5 million records containing personal data of passengers, route details, ticket prices, and more. Data refers to the period from 2007 to 2023.

“Now it has become even easier to search for information about Russians, including those who liked to fly for the Navalny family in order to poison them,” the KibOrg report says.

Among other published data, information was found on the flights of the former head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry and former member of the board of directors of Rosneft, Karin Kneisl, who in September announced her move to St. Petersburg.
