Truck driver stabbed to death in Hazeldonk, near the Belgian border

An Eastern European truck driver was stabbed to death on Saturday evening in a parking lot at the Hazeldonk border crossing in North Brabant in the Netherlands. That is near the border with Belgium.

According to the police, a report came in around 7:20 PM on Saturday about a man lying unconscious in the middle of the parking lot. The car park in question is located on the E19 highway that continues from Antwerp towards Breda. No suspect has been arrested yet.

The police have not yet provided details about the identity of the victim, because relatives have yet to be informed. An attempt was made to resuscitate the man, but that was unsuccessful.

The police conducted an investigation with several teams and approached all truck drivers who were in the parking lot. Motorists leaving the parking lot were also questioned. The police also look at camera images.
