US Army Central Command (Centcom) has confirmed that the US destroyer Mason shot down a Houthi unmanned aircraft launched from Yemen.
Earlier, the Associated Press reported that the Houthis attacked the petrochemical tanker Ardmore Encounter, which was flying the flag of the Marshall Islands and was traveling from India and towards the Suez Canal with an armed crew on board. Two missiles were fired at the ship. Based on available data, the missiles did not hit the tanker.
In addition, it was reported that an American warship shot down a Houthi UAV flying in its direction. No harm done.
