Ukrainian army: Russian attack on a convoy of civilians fleeing Mariupol
In the Russian attacks on civilians fleeing the southeastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol, there are dead and wounded under siege, including one child, the Ukrainian army said. The convoy of civilians was on the way from Mariupol to Zaporozhye when it came under attack by rocket launchers Grad at around 3.30 pm local time (2.30 pm CET), the army wrote in the Telegram.

The army published a picture of a wounded child covered in blood and stated that according to the first balance, “there are dead”.

After a series of failed attempts because a Russian-Ukrainian ceasefire could not be established, evacuations accelerated from that strategic port where residents have no food or water.

Russia’s bombing of the city’s maternity hospital last week sparked international condemnation.

The humanitarian corridor through which the convoys of vehicles go connects Mariupol with Zaporozhye, which is further north, via Berdijansk, which is about 270 kilometers.
