During the fighting in the Mariupol region, the deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet, captain of the first rank Andrey Paliy, died. This was announced by the Senator of Sevastopol Ekaterina Altabaeva.
“Sevastopol suffered a heavy, irreparable loss,” Altabayeva wrote on her Telegram channel.
Ukrayinska Pravda writes that Paliy apparently died on March 19.
