US President Biden spoke by telephone tonight (Thursday) with Prime Minister Bennett and expressed his condolences to the victims of the current wave of terrorism. The leaders discussed the wave of terrorism and Biden emphasized US support for Israel and offered assistance. In addition, the two discussed the importance and impact of regional collaborations such as the Avraham Agreements and the Negev Summit on improving life in the Middle East.

“President Biden has expressed his deepest condolences in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks that have killed 11 people in three Israeli cities,” the White House said. “The president emphasized that the United States is firmly on Israel’s side in the face of terrorist and other threats. The leaders discussed the importance of regional cooperation, as reflected in the Avraham Agreements and the Negev Summit, and their impact on improving security and improving the lives of people across the Middle East. The president has offered all the appropriate assistance to our Israeli allies while facing a threat to their citizens. ”

The Prime Minister’s Office said that Bennett thanked President Biden “for standing by the people of Israel in the face of the terrorist attack experienced by its citizens in recent days and for his participation, on behalf of the US administration, in the families’ grief.”

This is Biden and Bennett’s fourth call in office. The call comes after 11 people were killed and 30 injured in 10 terrorist attacks in March. “Already now, the Israel Police has moved to work in an emergency format, and at the same time the IDF is reinforcing the police with 15 companies of the best fighters,” Bennett said in a statement to the media last night. “Whoever has a gun license – it’s time to carry it.”
