Third day of anti-Israel demonstrations in Jordan: police make arrests

For the third evening in a row, anti-Israeli demonstrations took place in the Jordanian capital, not far from the Israeli Embassy.

On Tuesday, March 26, thousands of demonstrators tried to approach the Israeli Embassy and were pushed back by police and gendarmerie.

Participants in this demonstration demand that the Jordanian government take practical measures to “stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.” They demand the cancellation of all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement), the gas agreement, as well as a ban on land delivery of goods from the Persian Gulf countries through Jordan, as well as a ban on the export of vegetables.

Jordanian media report that police are detaining public order violators.

An anti-Israeli demonstration also takes place in Aqaba. Demonstrators can see portraits of Yahya Sinouar and Hamas flags.
