Tehran also warned Moscow about the danger of terrorism. Reuters:

Tehran has warned Moscow about the possibility of a large-scale “terrorist operation” on the territory of Russia.

Moreover, the warning was delivered to the Russians before the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, on March 22, which became one of the biggest terrorist attacks in Russia’s recent history. This is reported by Reuters with reference to three sources.

“A few days before the attack, Tehran conveyed information to Moscow about a possible major terrorist attack in Russia. The information was received during the interrogation of those arrested on suspicion of organizing explosions in Iran,” said one of Reuters’ anonymous interlocutors.

The Russian authorities do not officially comment on the hypothesis of the participation of the “Islamic State” in terrorism and claim that Ukraine is involved in it, which Kiev categorically denies.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that he was not aware of possible warnings from Iran.

The US and its allies have also warned of possible terrorist attacks in major Russian cities, including on concert days.

The USA is in hostile relations with Iran. The Russian Federal Security Service admitted that the US had passed on information about the preparation of the attack, but called it “general and not detailed”.
