Mass shooting at a Finnish school, there are casualties

At a school in the Finnish city of Vantaa, a 13-year-old teenager opened fire on his peers. According to initial reports, three schoolchildren were injured. The attacker has been detained.

The school, which has 800 students and 90 teachers, has just resumed work after the Easter holidays. Both boys and girls aged 7-15 years study there.

Previous cases of mass shooting in schools were reported in Finland in 2007 and 2008. They led to a tightening of gun access policies. However, approximately eight percent of Finnish residents have licenses to store it.
