Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has warned that Ukraine will lose the war if the United States does not approve a new military aid package for Kyiv, which Congress cannot approve due to differences between Democrats and Republicans.
Zelensky warned that without US support, it would be difficult for Ukraine not only to win, but even to survive as a state. He also expressed confidence that if Ukraine is defeated, Russia will attack other European states.

A bill to allocate military aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan totaling more than $95 billion has been under consideration by the US Congress since the fall of 2023. Ukraine should receive about two-thirds of this amount. However, Republicans blocked the bill, demanding that it be extended to the southern US border.
