Iran threatens to revise nuclear doctrine in response to Israeli strike

A senior representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Ahmad Hajtalab, who is responsible for issues related to nuclear development in the IRGC, said that in response to a possible Israeli strike, Iran may revise its nuclear doctrine.

“The Zionist regime’s threats to attack our nuclear facilities will provide us with the opportunity to revise our nuclear doctrine and may force us to reconsider previously made decisions. We know where Israeli nuclear facilities are located, and our finger is on the trigger,” the general said.

According to international experts, Iran is very close to possessing nuclear weapons, and will become a nuclear power in a fairly short time if the appropriate decision is made. However, only the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, can accept it.

According to the Iranian opposition website Iran International, the commander of the Iranian Air Force, General Hamid Vahedi, said that he was preparing Su-24 bombers to attack Israel. These aircraft were adopted by the USSR Air Force in 1975. Iran has approximately 30 such aircraft, most of them Iraqi ones interned in 1991. The Su-24 can carry not only conventional missiles and bombs, but also bombs with tactical nuclear warheads.
