The United States welcomes the start of the demarcation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to APA news agency, Vedant Patel, the first deputy press secretary of the US State Department, announced this in a briefing.
According to him, it is an important step towards establishing a lasting and dignified peace.
“We welcome the news that Armenia and Azerbaijan have accepted the 1991 Alma-Ati Declaration as the basis for demarcation between the two countries,” Patel said.
