As a reminder, in an article in the “Wall Street Journal” it was reported today that the IDF itself hinted that the overall estimates of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip could be approximately correct.
According to the army, it is estimated that 11-13 thousand Hamas fighters and others were killed, and in addition, that two civilians were killed for every fighter – which suggests a total of 33-39 thousand dead in total. Some civilians were killed by the terrorists’ own actions, such as missiles that deviated from their trajectory.
Let’s recall that this opinion arises after the Israeli government was initially skeptical about the Palestinian assessments, and that sources close to the government claimed that the Ministry of Health in Gaza is subject to the political influence of Hamas and is therefore unreliable. Others questioned the segmentation of the data by men, women and children.
