Media: Latest Egyptian proposals acceptable to both Israel and Hamas

An Egyptian source told AWP that Egypt’s latest proposals are acceptable to both Hamas and Israel, but several pitfalls remain. However, the signing of an agreement is possible in the coming days.

So, if the number of Israelis released at the first stage does not exceed 20 people, the truce period will be shortened. Hamas previously claimed that it was holding no more than 20 Israelis, while Israel demanded the release of 35-40 people.

It is also reported that Hamas has not abandoned its demand for a complete cessation of hostilities. However, according to a statement by an Egyptian source, he is ready to postpone discussion of this issue until the truce comes into force.

According to Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, further changes have been made to the text of the Egyptian proposal in recent hours. According to the publication, their task is to prevent the resumption of hostilities after the truce expires.
