Gaza Ministry of Health: over the past 24 hours, more than 30 people have died, more than 40 have been injured

The Gaza Ministry of Health (a Hamas structure) announced on May 4 that since the start of hostilities (October 7), 34,654 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, 32 of them in the last 24 hours. 77,908 were injured of varying severity (41 in the last 24 hours).

Information from the Gaza Ministry of Health cannot be verified. The Hamas Ministry of Health does not specify how many of the killed and wounded were militants from terrorist groups.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has repeatedly emphasized that it cannot confirm or deny the accuracy of the data on killed and wounded provided by the Gaza Ministry of Health. At the same time, in January the Lancet published the results of an analysis, which may indirectly indicate that the data from the Gaza Ministry of Health are close to real.

Judging by IDF reports, dozens of militants from terrorist groups are being eliminated every day in Gaza. According to the IDF, about 14,000 militants and their commanders have been killed in Gaza since the beginning of the war. Hamas has acknowledged the deaths of approximately 6,000 of its fighters.

In the reports of the Ministry of Health of Gaza, they do not distinguish between the dead and wounded civilians and militants, and also claim that all casualties are a consequence of the actions of the IDF, although it is obvious that many die as a result of the actions of militants of terrorist organizations or for other reasons not directly related to the operation, which carried out by the Israeli army in Gaza.
