Rally under conditions: Second caliphate demonstration allowed in Hamburg | Regional

Hamburg – Unbelievable, the Stone Age Islamists are allowed back on our streets with their propaganda!

The Islamist group “Muslim Interaktiv” has received permission for a second rally in Hamburg on Saturday.

However, with strict conditions.

Hamburg Police Chief Falk Schnabel said on Wednesday about dealing with the extremist group and its meetings: “We are a strict assembly authority. But above all, we are a strictly constitutional assembly authority.”

Why isn’t such a terrible event simply banned?

As before the group’s demonstration on April 27th, a ban on gatherings was intensively examined, said the police chief. Video material from the previous rally was also evaluated. “A ban will not be legally upheld,” said Schnabel, summarizing the results.

As in April, there should be requirements – this time stricter.

    1. No call for violence.
    2. Israel’s right to exist cannot be denied.
    3. The demand for a caliphate on German soil must not be raised.

Further restrictions are part of the ongoing cooperation talks, said Matthias Tresp, who, as head of the police, is also responsible for the assembly authority.

This also includes the ban on visible gender separation. The applicant has shown himself to be cooperative in the previous agreements.

“We will make full use of all legal means,” assured Interior Senator Andy Grote (SPD). But extremist opinions are not fundamentally illegal: “That is painful, but that is also the essence of the constitutional state.”

At the rally at the end of April, demonstrators aggressively denounced what they saw as Islamophobic policies and media reporting in Germany. In addition, a caliphate was called for as a solution to social problems.

The march sparked nationwide outrage.

This time, like the previous rally at the end of April, around 1,000 demonstrators are expected.

Counter-demonstration announced

A counter-demonstration with 100 participants has also been announced for Saturday.

According to the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Muslim Interactive has been monitored for four years. It is an extremist-Islamist organization that rejects the basic values, democracy and laws in Germany, said the head of the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Torsten Voß.

CDU parliamentary group leader Dennis Thering called the decision “unbearable”: “These images should not be repeated and it remains a mystery why the red-green Senate is allowing this registration again.”

In contrast, the SPD interior expert Sören Schumacher said: “It would be good if everyone here disarmed somewhat in terms of party politics and supported the security authorities in their difficult work against extremist groups.”

Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) recently brought up tightening the law. She said on Tuesday in Hamburg that it is currently being examined whether there are ways to take legal action against statements suggesting the establishment of a caliphate.
