Berlin: Man stabbed opposite the Chancellery |  Regional

Berlin – Brutal attack on the banks of the Spree in the government district, directly opposite the Chancellery! A man was stabbed there on Wednesday night.

The crime happened around 2:30 a.m. not far from a beer garden opposite the Chancellery on Elisabeth-Abegg-Strasse in the middle Berlin. The man is said to have suffered two bleeding stab wounds.

An emergency doctor from the Bundeswehr and an emergency paramedic from the adjacent area Fire station on the Moltke Bridge provided first aid to the injured.

Perpetrator still on the run

The stabbed man was taken to a hospital for further treatment. Apparently the man had celebrated with friends on the banks of the Spree.

The police questioned the shocked friends. The perpetrator or perpetrators are said to be on the run. Why the man was attacked and further details about what happened were not yet known in the morning.

Die police is investigating dangerous bodily harm.
