The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan are also going to Tehran

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov will leave for Iran today.

According to the Azerbaijani side, Asadov will participate in the official farewell ceremony of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Husein Amir Abdulahian and other accompanying persons in Tehran.

Foreign Minister Jeihun Bayramov is also traveling to Iran as part of Asadov’s delegation.

Eighth President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Abdollahian and six others were killed in a helicopter crash in the Warzakan region in the northwest of East Azerbaijan province on Tuesday. They were returning to Tehran after the opening ceremony of the joint dam project on the border with Azerbaijan. A five-day mourning has been announced in Iran.

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan left for Tehran today to participate in the official event to pay tribute and express condolences.
