Germany has announced its readiness to detain Netanyahu if there is an ICC warrant to do so.

At a press conference, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit was asked whether Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if the International Criminal Court issued a warrant. “Of course we follow the law,” Hebestreit replied.

The Welt.de website notes that Steffen Hebestreit refused to comment on Benjamin Netanyahu’s appeal to all “civilized countries of the world” with a request to declare that they do not intend to comply with the ICC decision.
