Arthur Vanetsyan is in Freedom Square

Arthur Vanetsyan, the leader of the “Homeland” party, invites everyone to Freedom Square to unite and fight for Armenia and Artsakh. Vanetsyan announced live on Facebook that “the critical moment has come” that they can not achieve anything by writing other articles and posting on social networks.

“I have come to Freedom Square, I am not going to return home anymore, I want to be here, to communicate with each of you, to talk, to understand what is happening, what we should do,” he said.

Vanetsyan, who is the leader of the opposition “I have honor” faction in the National Assembly, stressed that the recent statements made by the authorities show that they have already come to terms with the loss of Artsakh.

“They are ready to hand over Artsakh to the enemy, we have reached the point where we have a problem with Armenia’s security,” he said.

“The opposition is not sitting idly by. “Be ready, we have a big job to do …”, wrote on his Facebook page the other opposition member, “Hayastan” faction, NA Deputy Speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan, without detailing what specific actions are in question. Gegham Manukyan, a member of the same faction, told RFE / RL yesterday that active steps are being taken and all the tools will be used.

Discussions on the opposition’s steps intensified especially on Prime Minister Pashinyan’s controversy over the status quo in Artsakh from the announcement then. He said in the parliament that the international community expects the Armenian side to lower the status bar of Artsakh.

Opposition forces last week they boycotted The NA sittings and the question and answer session with the government և announced that they were leaving for Artsakh. Russian peacekeepers, however, to the deputies were not allowed to enter Artsakh.
