Asian tiger gave birth to 3 cubs at the zoo in Gia Lai

Three tiger cubs were born in early April, each weighing about 1.5 kg, including two male tigers and one female tiger. The name is chosen from names familiar to Vietnamese people, creating intimacy for tourists.

A representative of FLC Zoo Safari Park Quy Nhon (Quy Nhon Dong ward) said that as of April 23, all three tiger cubs were healthy, currently weighing about 5 kg. The tiger cub is currently being cared for with its mother and fed exclusively with breast milk. According to the natural development process, when they reach about 1.5 months old, they will begin to get used to eating meat.

During the upcoming holiday, Safari Quy Nhon will arrange a separate area for three tiger cubs to “greet” guests at a close distance and take souvenir photos.

Previously, the zoo had raised three Bengal tigers named Caterpillar, Wolf and Squirrel to grow healthily. The unit said that care for pregnant tiger mothers is carried out carefully, in a private house, separate from other individuals. During pregnancy, the mother tiger is supplemented by veterinary medicine with iron, B12, and calcium.

After 113 days, the mother tiger will give birth naturally. One day after birth, the veterinary staff separated the cubs into a separate area to clean the umbilical cord, weigh the weight and confirm the gender. Completing these steps, the tiger cub is returned to the cage with its mother.

Safari Quy Nhon is a large wildlife park with hundreds of rare animal species, built inside the FLC Quy Nhon Beach & Golf Resort system, with an area of ​​nearly 130 hectares.
