Spending 20,000 USD to sleep one night in the Indian Ocean

British blogger Trek Trendy paid nearly 20,000 USD to experience a bedroom located 5 meters below sea level at a luxury resort in the Maldives.

Trek Trendy, a British blogger specializing in reviewing luxury experiences, introduces the undersea room at The Muraka super villa at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort.

The room is located 5 meters below the Indian Ocean sea level, surrounded by a transparent acrylic dome with a 180-degree view of the coral reef.

The project has a total construction cost of 15 million USD, weighs 600 tons, and was manufactured in Singapore before being put into the sea.

This blogger said that when he entered the room, he heard a sound like he was chewing cereal, possibly due to the acrylic glass expanding under water pressure.

“This place is like a giant aquarium,” the male tourist said. To ensure safety, the room is equipped with a hook hidden close to the wall used to open the emergency hatch to the surface in an emergency situation.

The room is equipped with curtains to ensure privacy, but Trek Trendy believes this is not necessary because “there are only schools of brilliant fish looking at me”. He expressed his excitement at being able to observe the clear blue water even while in the toilet.

At night, the deep sea space becomes magical thanks to the color-changing lighting system, turning the bedroom into a “natural cinema”. The male tourist had to pay 18,000 USD for one night’s stay, a total bill of nearly 20,000 USD, including transportation and dinner costs.

Despite the expensive price, the British blogger still considers the experience of being surrounded by the ocean while sleeping to be a completely worthy privilege.
