The Royal Collections Gallery hosts a concert on its terrace lit by more than 10,000 candles

The Royal Collections Gallery is hosting a Fever candlelight concert, where more than 10,000 candles will light up the terrace during a tribute to Coldplay on Saturday 5 October.

The entertainment discovery platform, Fever, is thus joining forces with Patrimonio Nacional in a “unique” concert, which will “transform emblematic spaces into accessible stages for unforgettable cultural experiences.”

This open-air concert will be held on Saturday 5 October in two sessions, at 7:15 pm and 9:45 pm. Access will be via Cuesta de La Vega.

The experience will transform the Gallery’s terrace, illuminated by thousands of candles, inviting attendees to connect with the most iconic pieces of the group Coldplay performed by a String Octet (Parallel Quartet + Caramuel Quartet). The public will also be able to enjoy privileged views of Campo del Moro and La Casa de Campo in Madrid.

According to a statement, the Candlelight concerts are an event “that aims to democratize access to classical music.” “Thanks to the Candlelight concerts, the works of great composers have reached unique places that form part of the cultural heritage of each city,” they said.

The Gallery terrace is therefore one of the many representative places such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Cathedral of Segovia, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Setas park in Seville or the Capricho de Gaudí in Comillas, among others.

Performed by local musicians, the Candlelight concerts aim to be “a platform for artists from across the country to connect with people around the world, aligning with the belief that classical music can reach a diverse audience.”
