Italy will host the Davis Cup Final 8 from 2025 to 2027. This was announced by the ITF during the draw ceremony for the first round matches of the qualifiers scheduled for February. As the host nation, Italy is automatically qualified for the Final 8 of November. The Netherlands, finalist in 2024, had the second wild card and will enter the competition in September, on the occasion of the second round of the Qualifiers, i.e. the decisive clashes for access to the Final 8 which from this year take the place of the in groups.
The announcement of new venue for the Davis Cup Finals it was awaited by tennis fans all over the world and arrived today on the sidelines of the draw for the first round of the competition by the Fitp (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation) and the ITF (International Tennis Federation). The Final Phase of the oldest and most prestigious team event for nations in the men’s tennis leaves Malaga after three successful editions and will move to Italy from 2025: from 18 to 23 November next year the salad bowl it will be delivered to the new world champions under the sky of Bologna, in the city which with its passion and drive in recent years has allowed the Italian team to lay the foundations for the two consecutive triumphs of 2023 and 2024.

The ITF’s decision thus allows Italy to return to a match for the Davis Cup title for the first time since 1998, from the match against Sweden in Milan which was effectively decided by the rupture of the right shoulder tendon suffered in the first day by Andrea Gaudenzi, today president of the ATP
