The new Montenegro Future Festival will be held from April 24 to 26 in the Bar Culture Center on two stages – on the Summer Stage panel discussions will be held throughout the day, while e-sports tournaments will be organized in the cinema hall. The new edition of the festival will have an expo zone, as well as many other novelties.
“This edition brings many novelties, starting with the World eFootball Cup, through the Mediterranean e-sport games in e-football and Tekken, where more than 40 countries will participate. There are also PASTECHL conference, Blockchain & Crypto conference, European Gaming Summit, NASEF academy, Five Group Expo & Gaming zone. In the expo zone we also have a competitive part where we will have e-sport tournaments in Clash Royale, PUBG Mobileu, EA FC 26 and NBA 2K. I’m sure that everyone who comes to Bar will find something interesting for themselves,” said the president of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro and MFF director Filip Šo.
With such a rich and varied program, this year the festival will gather industry professionals, e-sport teams, investors, universities, technology companies, and gaming fans from all over the world.
“The value of companies coming to Bar exceeds one trillion. We will host some of the largest global companies – Alibaba, Tencent, Moonton, ESL, Blast, International Esports Federation, European Esports Federation, NASEF and many other organizations. We have guests from more than 60 countries of the world, currently more than 120 speakers and over 500 international guests. We expect that about 5,000 people will visit the festival during those three days. It is interesting that more than 40 media from Montenegro and the region will report on the event, and the broadcast and livestream of the entire event will be in English and Arabic,” said Šo.
By attracting such a large number of visitors from different parts of the world, the MFF contributes to the tourism and economy of both Bar and the whole of Montenegro.
“We have positioned not only Bar, but also the whole of Montenegro as the center of gaming and IT in the region and Europe. I think it is very important that we organize the festival before the season. When you do the festival before or after the season, you can get real numbers of how many people actually came,” Šo added.
Soć notes that it is demanding to organize an event of this caliber, but that they receive significant support from traditional partners – the Municipality and the Tourist Board of Bar.
“For more than the fifth year in a row, we manage to organize such large events in Montenegro, but the state system still does not recognize the potential of all these industries and our events. We hope that this will change,” concluded the president of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro and director of the MFF.
