PSG-Bayern Munich: we know the jersey that the Parisians will wear for the semi-final first leg of the Champions League

Last season, the Parisians wore the now famous Jordan Wings tunic to beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This year, the capital club has decided to arm itself with its home jersey to host Bayern Munich in the semi-final first leg of the Champions League on Tuesday (9 p.m.).

As host club, PSG obviously has priority to decide. The logical option was the home kit, which is distinguished by a midnight blue base, enhanced with touches of red and white, the historic colors of the club. The design incorporates a lattice pattern for the red band reminiscent of Hechter’s, inspired by the capital’s iconic metal structures, in reference to the Eiffel Tower.

The “Night Edition” jersey goes by the wayside

This had already been the case during the first confrontation between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. The Bavarians, just crowned German champions, wore their away jersey and won 2-1 at the Parc des Princes.

PSG could have chosen the “Night Edition” jersey, inaugurated at the beginning of March during the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League won 5-2 against Chelsea at the Parc des Princes. A black design inspired by the Trocadéro which has not won the hearts of all Parisian supporters. Good for them, their players will indeed wear their home jersey for this summit clash against the Germans.
