UN data: since the start of the war with the United States and Israel in the spring, more than 20 people have been executed in Iran

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said Iran had executed at least 21 people and detained more than 4,000 on national security charges since the war with the US and Israel began about two months ago.

According to Turk, at least nine people were executed in connection with the January protests against the regime, ten on charges of belonging to opposition groups, and two more on espionage charges.

“I am shocked that, on top of the already dire consequences of the conflict, the authorities continue to cruelly and brutally deprive the people of Iran of their rights,” Turk said.
