Trump did not rule out the withdrawal of American troops from Italy and Spain

US President Donald Trump has announced that he will “probably” consider withdrawing US troops from Italy and Spain, criticizing the two NATO allies for not supporting Washington in the war against Iran.

In a conversation with reporters at the White House, Trump claimed that Italy “didn’t help” the United States and called Spain “absolutely terrible”. The reason for his displeasure, according to reports, is that Madrid and Rome did not allow the American warplanes participating in operations against Iran to use the military bases located on their territory.

These statements of Trump followed earlier threats from Germany about the possible reduction of the number of American troops. Spain, Italy and Germany criticized the military actions of the USA and Israel against Iran.
