With sometimes 0% audience share, “We have something new” on Novo 19 forced to go weekly

Claire Arnoux will have to change pace. According to our information, “We have something new”, the talk that she has hosted since the start of the season on NOVO 19 with her band, will move from a daily presence in access to a weekly broadcast from September.

This change of direction is anything but a surprise as the audiences for “We have something new” are starving. Since its launch on September 1, 2025, the two parts of the talk, shifted to 7:25 p.m. since January (instead of 6:25 p.m. when it was launched), have respectively attracted 17,000 and 14,000 viewers, or 0.1% of the public for each of them. With days with 0 points.

This talk show alone embodies the disillusionment of the Ouest-France group, which had high hopes with its channel, launched last September following the closure of C8 and NRJ12. Since the start of 2026, NOVO has oscillated between 0.8 and 0.9% monthly audience share. If its flagship program is failing, “We have information”, its daily news is barely better with only 31,000 viewers on average each evening at 7:10 p.m. (0.2% of the public). Its global audience? Novo owes it to the success of its news magazines (notably “Crimes” by Jean-Marc Morandini which they have just bought), which occupy a large place in the schedule, more than 15 hours in total, last Tuesday alone.

What allowed Claire Arnoux to save her place? The positive feedback from a qualitative study on the show which convinced the Ouest-France group channel to continue to focus on the host and capitalize on its cultural programming. The conservation of the name of the format is under consideration.
