Peep Jalakas is the new CEO of Tallink

Shipping company The new CEO of Tallink Group has been appointed Peep Elm. The company will announce this in a press release on Thursday.

His term begins on April 6 and lasts for three years.

Since 2023, Jalakas has served as a member of AS SEB Pank’s board of directors and head of corporate banking, the release states. During the last 20 years, he has worked at the bank in several different positions and led, among other things, teams in the corporate customer and credit departments.

Jalakasin the appointment also leads to changes in the management team. Marcus Schultz resigns from the group’s board as CFO effective Friday, but continues to work as CEO of Tallink Silja Oy in Finland.

“Because Peep Jalakas’ competence is strongly based on the financial sector, Margus Schults, a member of the management team who has been responsible for this area of ​​responsibility until now, will return full-time to Finland and continue in his position as CEO of Tallink Silja Oy”, commented the chairman of the supervisory board Than Pant in the bulletin.
