Inter he enjoys it scudetto and after the 2-0 against Parma yesterday, Sunday 3 May, continue to celebrate. The Nerazzurri closed a season worth remembering by taking home the tricolor with three matchdays to spare and now turn their attention to the Italian Cup final against Lazio, Wednesday 13 May. In the meantime, the company can start planning next season with the certainty of the prizes linked to the title. But how much is the scudetto worth? Here’s how much the Nerazzurri earned with this triumph.
Inter, how much is the Scudetto worth?
The scudetto itself is directly worth around 20 million euros. A figure that must, however, be seen in a broader context. Whoever wins the Italian championship not only collects these, but the title leads to a total collection of more than that 100 million between TV rights, access to the Champions League (which alone is worth over 50 million guaranteed minimum) and various sponsorships.
Worth mentioning are the television rights, distributed through criteria established by the Melandri-Lotti law. How does it work? 50% of the available funds (around 900 million net) is divided equally between the 20 clubs, without considering the results of the sporting season. 28% is instead assigned based on results (divided between the placement of the last championship, 15%, the results of the last five years, 10%, and the sporting history of the club, 3%). The remaining 22% then concerns ‘social rooting’. How is this element calculated? Referring to the TV audience and the number of spectators at the stadium. In short, of the 900 million available, therefore, Inter are entitled to approximately 20 million for this item. Just over second (around 13 million) and third (around 11 million) ranked.
The value of the tricolor
Per l’Inter, the scudetto will also be an added value in terms of sponsors for the next sporting seasongiven that many sponsorship contracts provide variable prizes based on the goals achieved. Still remaining with the Nerazzurri, in the 2023-24 season, the season of the title won with Simone Inzaghi, the revenue for this item had reached 71 million (around 18 million more than the previous season).
